Synergy |
Synergy is a comprehensive program designed to increase retailer's profits by building consumer loyalty and tapping current and future revenue streams. The Synergy Program is a powerful blend of hardware, software and value-added services. |
Hardware features the most advanced health monitoring station available today, the LC600. At the core of the unit, biometric testing includes measurement of blood pressure, heart rate, weight, body composition, body mass index and blood oxygen levels. In addition, measurement of hearing, sight and bone density is planned. The LC600 also supports the uploading of all popular personal health management devices such as glucose, activity and respiratory meters, all crucial in supporting wellness and chronic disease programs. A wide range of peripherals including printer, barcode scanner, magnetic stripe reader, video camera, telephone and access ports (IR, USB, WiFi, RFID and Bluetooth) insures quick response to any future healthcare application requirement. |
Optional hardware components include the Health Information Module (“HIM”) and one or more flat screen monitors. The HIM was designed to be a health information portal, available in both countertop and free-standing versions, providing access to health risk assessments, medication compliance surveys, product descriptions, catalog sales and multi-sourced, balanced health information. The flat screen monitors create a ”Pharmacy Channel” operated by Lifeclinic’s partner, CBS Outernet, a division of CBS Corporation. It is designed to inform, educate and influence consumers by providing health and wellness information as well as advertising. It also promotes use of the health station and HIM as well as products and services throughout the store. |
The combination of disease-specific information, biometrics testing and the automatic posting of results to personal health records forms the basis for effective consumer and retailer-based wellness programs. Retailers can take advantage of Lifeclinic’s back office data management capabilities through Group-Stat, a comprehensive tool set for addressing a wide range of needs from aggregate statistics used by the Human Resources department down to the detailed individual data needed to support professionally managed chronic disease programs. Measuring, tracking and managing have never been easier! |
While hardware and software clearly differentiate the program from any others . . . they are but part of the story. The true power, or Synergy, is obtained through the value added components of merchandising, store services, branding and the all important retailer revenue sharing opportunities. Merchandizing take-one’s and booklet holders are readily available on the LC600. Store services include the promotion of flu shots and screenings such as hypertension, cholesterol and bone density. Chain-specific branding can be accomplished in several ways and revenue-sharing opportunities designed to defray the monthly leasing costs are numerous. |

There's no doubt that there's a correlation between your employees' health and their ability to get the job done. Employees that feel physically well are often more productive, active members of your team. Increasingly, companies are investing in corporate wellness programs as a way to promote the heath of their employees, and their business. |
More frequently today, companies are developing on-site employee wellness centers that give their employees access to nutritional and health information, tips on smoking cessation, ideas for weight management and weight loss, exercise equipment and tools to help them monitor their health and their health goals. Businesses are finding that investing in corporate health and wellness programs increases value for employees and for the company. |
A typical workplace wellness program is more than just a few treadmills or strength training machines. Instead, it seeks to facilitate both exercise activities and nutritional information. If the center contains a biometric monitoring machine or health and wellness station, then having access to a workplace wellness center also means that employee can monitor common health concerns like blood pressure, weight, and body mass index (BMI) without having to take time off from work or squeeze in appointments during their lunch hour.
Monitoring these biometric data allows both employees and employers to track the success of the corporate wellness center and provide hard data around success metrics. Employee wellness programs also offer a perk above and beyond standard salary and benefits, leading to greater job satisfaction. |
Companies that practice active workplace wellness initiatives are showing employees that they care about their health. Healthier employees take fewer sick days, which leads to increased productivity. Additionally, healthy employees need fewer doctors visits, which results in lower medical costs for the employee and lower insurance rates for the company. Most data also suggests that healthy, fit employees have more energy and are generally more productive on the job. |
